RAVPower HyperAir 7.5W Wireless Charging Puck with 24W QC 3.0 Wall Plug
Pros and Cons
Well priced with plug included
Not Qi certified
This product is part of the HyperAir series
Charger Wattage or Speed
This RAVPower HyperAir 7.5W charging puck is fast charge enabled, with a maximum output of up to 10W. However, it was one of the first chargers designed with the iPhone in mind and can operate at 7.5W, the maximum charging speed for iPhones.
This product is Qi certified.
Accompanying Cable and Plug
This mobile phone induction charger is USB-C compatible and comes with a durable nylon coated 1m long cable with metal ends and a 24W QC 3.0 adapter. These allow for wired charging of Android devices without the wireless puck.
Size and Aesthetics
The RAVPower HyperAir 7.5W Charging Puck has a smaller circular puck design, but is made from aluminium so feels more sturdy and high-quality than your standard charger. The product is all black and will be mostly covered by your phone, only being partially visible on either side. The puck is covered in a darker black ring of silicone around the top, which surrounds the RAVPower logo imprinted in the middle.
This RAVPower product is a regular wireless charging puck but benefits from their latest HyperAir technology, which boasts an intelligent temperature adjustment chip and an advanced internal structure that according to RAVPower disperses heat 15% fast than regular chargers. Due to HyperAir also sharing the same fixed frequency as the iPhone it also reportedly has a 50% quicker detection rate for iPhones compared with standard chargers.
As mentioned the RAVPower 7.5W Wireless Charging puck has a circular silicone anti-skid ring around the top face of the charger and four incognito silicone feet that should keep your phone and the charger firmly in place.
This product contains only one Qi transmitter coil so may take some fiddling to position.
A smart LED is built into the front side of the RAVPower HyperAir 7.5W Wireless Charging Puck which is more subtle than other chargers that use front facing LEDs as these can cause glare. It also has multiple modes: flashing for when a phone is charging and constantly lit for when a phone is fully charged. The LED will turn from red/orange to green when charging Android phones but unfortunately will remain red/orange for iPhones..
This charger is exceptional value for money considering it can boast Qi certification, variable output to optimise for either Android or iPhone and a high-quality aluminium metal build that should stand the test of time. Not only that but it comes with a free QC 3.0 Wall Plug. Get this charger pronto!
